Actian Ingres (Linux & Windows) 12.0
The Actian Ingres 12.0 release introduces several enhancements, including performance optimization, workload automation, database management improvements, and cloud-enabled capabilities, that drive business continuity. The 12.0 release has new capabilities designed to support mission-critical business and modernization efforts, such as:
- Workload Manager 2.0 provides better queue management and allocation of resources by user, role, and group.
- Containerized UDFs offer improved isolation and support for using Python, and JavaScript languages in working with data
- Backup to Cloud and Disaster Recovery for on-premises and cloud deployments using Virtual Machines (VMs) or Docker containers in Kubernetes.
- Up to 20% faster analytical queries using the X100 engine
- Improvements that harden security against brute force and Denial of Service (DoS) attacks from malicious actors.

This Container release allows customers to seamlessly deploy Actian Ingres in the Cloud and on premise using Cloud Native deployment tools. This release allows the user to deploy either a Single instance or a Primary & Secondary pair that provide Disaster Recovery Failover (For more details please refer to the helm chart readme).

Helm Chart
The Helm Chart provides a way to deploy the Actian X Kubernetes Operator in order to deploy the Actian X Server into Kubernetes.
In order to be able to use our Helm Charts, version 3 of Helm is required. This allows you to simply call
helm show readme [chart-name]
to get the complete documentation and a step-by-step guide.
Once installed the Actian X Kubernetes Operator can be used with a specific Actian X Server Docker image.
The "latest" tag refers to an image containing the latest Actian X 12.0 patch.
For a list of image tags click here.
To be compatible with the Actian X Kubernetes Operator the image must be "ii11.2.0_p15924" or later.
