Actian Ingres (Linux & Windows) 12.0
The Actian Ingres 12.0 release introduces several enhancements, including performance optimization, workload automation, database management improvements, and cloud-enabled capabilities, that drive business continuity. The 12.0 release has new capabilities designed to support mission-critical business and modernization efforts, such as:
- Workload Manager 2.0 provides better queue management and allocation of resources by user, role, and group.
- Containerized UDFs offer improved isolation and support for using Python, and JavaScript languages in working with data
- Backup to Cloud and Disaster Recovery for on-premises and cloud deployments using Virtual Machines (VMs) or Docker containers in Kubernetes.
- Up to 20% faster analytical queries using the X100 engine
- Improvements that harden security against brute force and Denial of Service (DoS) attacks from malicious actors.
Actian Ingres (Linux & Windows) 11.2
The Actian X Hybrid Database includes the record breaking analytic engine from Actian’s Vector to enable a new class of applications that can mix OLTP and analytic queries, with each query being directed to the appropriate execution engine. Actian X contains many new management, development and security features. Actian X 11.2 introduces Workload Management Phase 1, JSON Support in X100 tables and Encryption Initialization Vectors among other changes.
Actian X 11.2 also contains a development release of UDFs with development-only support for SQL, Java Script and Python UDFs.

Actian Ingres (Linux & Windows) 11.1
The Actian X Hybrid Database includes the record breaking analytic engine from Actian’s Vector to enable a new class of applications that can mix OLTP and analytic queries, with each query being directed to the appropriate execution engine. Actian X also includes two significant additions for application integration and monitoring. DataConnect for Actian X provides an end-to-end solution for designing, deploying and managing data integration, and the Actian Enterprise Monitoring Appliance (EMA) can use Nagios compatible plug-ins now in Actian X to monitor Ingres environments.
Actian X also contains many new geospatial, performance, ease-of-use and security features. Actian X 11.1 introduces Hybrid Join Support, JSON support, data masking for sensitive data, partition management, pivot tables and support for listagg() among other changes.
