WARNING: Upgrade patches should not be used to patch an existing 12.1 installation.
An Upgrade Patch is an installable distribution built at the same level as the equivalent Ingres patch. The result of installing this Upgrade Patch is the same as installing the Base Release and the equivalent Patch. This Upgrade Patch can be used to upgrade directly from a previous version of Ingres to Ingres 12.1 and will contain installer fixes that are not available in the Base Release.
Ingres Server-side licensing checks are enabled in this Upgrade Patch. For more information click here.
