Actian Ingres 12.0
The 12.0 release introduces several enhancements, including performance optimization, workload automation, database management improvements, and cloud-enabled capabilities that drive business continuity. The 12.0 release has new capabilities designed to support mission-critical business and modernization efforts, such as:
- Workload Manager 2.0 provides better queue management and allocation of resources by user, role, and group.
- Containerized UDFs (Linux, Windows) offer improved isolation and support for using Python, and Javascript languages in working with data.
- Up to 20% faster analytical queries (Linux, Windows) using the X100 engine.
- Backup to Cloud and Disaster Recovery (Linux, Windows) for on-premises and cloud deployments using Virtual Machines(VMs) or Docker containers in Kubernetes.
- Improvements that harden security against brute force and Denial of Service (DoS) attacks from malicious actors
Patch #: 30894
Each patch contains a cumulative set of fixes produced since the last Service Pack or Release, whichever is the later, and hence includes all fixes previously issued. It can only be applied on to that specific version (e.g. 12.0). The patch has undergone Actian internal engineering tests, is fully supported by Actian but has not undergone the full QA test suite which is run for both full releases and Service Packs. Please also note that if you require patches for more than one platform the bugs fixed content may vary between platforms though Service Packs for any release will include the same fixes for all platforms.
