The Actian Ingres Database includes the record breaking analytic engine from Actian’s Vector to enable a new class of applications that can mix OLTP and analytic queries, with each query being directed to the appropriate execution engine. Actian Ingres also includes two significant additions for application integration and monitoring. DataConnect for Actian Ingres provides an end-to-end solution for designing, deploying and managing data integration, and the Actian Enterprise Monitoring Appliance (EMA) can use Nagios compatible plug-ins now in Actian Ingres to monitor Ingres environments.

The 12.0 release has new capabilities designed to support mission-critical business and modernization efforts, such as:
- Workload Manager 2.0 provides better queue management and allocation of resources by user, role, and group.
- Containerized UDFs (Linux, Windows) offer improved isolation and support for using Python, and Javascript languages in working with data.
- Up to 20% faster analytical queries (Linux, Windows) using the X100 engine.
